Vol. 398 No. 4

Written Answers. - Suburban Railway Stations.

Pat Lee

Ceist:

151 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if he will direct larnód Éireann, pending a decision on the viability of the proposed Clondalkin/Amiens Street link, to include Drumcondra railway station on the Maynooth/Amiens Street line, along with four new suburban railway stations which are scheduled for opening in August of this year.

The draft operational programme for roads and other transport infrastructure which is under discussion with the European Commission in the context of our application for EC aid includes a proposal for rail stations at eight new locations, including Drumcondra, on the line from Clondalkin to the city. Further developments in relation to these stations must await a decision on the application currently before the Commission.
