Ceist:74 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance, in respect of each licensed archaeological excavation in the last 25 years in respect of which a statutory report has not yet been filed (a) the date of the excavation, (b) the archaeologist in charge, (c) the stated object of the excavation in the application for a licence, (d) if any public funds were made available towards the cost of the excavation and, if so, the amount, (e) if any action has been taken by him to obtain a report of the excavation by legal or other means and (f) if the objects discovered in the excavation have been lodged in the National Museum; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
