Written Answers. - Fuel Consumption Guide for Cars.
As part of my Department's 1989 Energy Conservation Programme, EOLAS carried out a study of possible measures whereby fuel efficiency in cars and transport fleets could be improved. One of the areas identified in the study was the publication of a fuel consumption guide for cars.
My Department will have discussions with the car industry as soon as possible to look into the feasibility of such a guide.
