Ceist:68 Mr. Kavanagh asked the Minister for Education the progress which has been made towards providing a new vocational school at Blessington, County Wicklow; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

All projects in my Department's second level building programme are subject to a critical review in the light of all relevant factors, including the most up-to-date statistical data and demographic indicators.
Such a review has been completed in the case of Blessington vocational school, and arising from this, officers from my Department had preliminary discussions with a deputation from County Wicklow Vocational Education Committee last week.
I am satisfied that the proposals which my Department will be putting to the VEC very shortly will adequately address the post primary accommodation needs of the catchment area.
