Ceist:89 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider modifying the national lottery coupon to allow players to indicate their choice on one of the panels as to the area in which they would like their money to be spent.
Written Answers. - National Lottery Funds' Distribution.
The design and printing of lottery tickets is a matter for An Post National Lottery Company whose responsibility it is to hold the national lottery in accordance with the terms of the licence granted to it. The distribution of the surplus of the national lottery, on the other hand, is a matter for the Government to determine in accordance with section 5 of the national lottery Act 1986. I am not in favour of any overlapping of these responsibilities.
