Vol. 401 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Donegal Marinas.

Dinny McGinley

Ceist:

102 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Marine if there are any applications in his Department to establish marinas in County Donegal; the location of each proposed marina; and the up-to-date position regarding each application.

In so far as my Department is concerned, applications for the establishment of marinas is necessary if the proposed development gives rise to occupation of State-owned foreshore or if it is within the limits of one of the five fishery harbour centres owned and managed by the Department.

Two such applications in County Donegal have been received, in Fahan and Moville. The question of granting of leases of foreshore in both cases is under consideration.
