Ceist:62 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a statement regarding the operation of the arrangements for driving tests indicating (1) the waiting lists at each centre (2) the approximate delay in having a driving test arranged at each centre (3) the number of officials employed to conduct the tests and the comparable number of officials for each of the last five years for which figures are available (4) whether any new appointments to these positions were approved by the Civil Service Commissioners; and if so, on what date; if he will authorise that these appointments be taken up; and whether his attention has been drawn to the low level of morale in the service.
