Ceist:

239 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment if his Department have any policy in relation to local authority house construction programmes which specifically include a budget or a proportion of houses to be provided for disabled people, or adaptations for local authority tenants with disabilities; and the proportion of houses and expenditure to date on this policy sub-head.

It is a matter for each housing authority in the context of their programme for the provision of housing to decide on the types ; of dwellings to be provided having regard to the needs identified in their latest assessment of housing needs under section 9 of the Housing Act, 1988.
