The position regarding the Firies/Scartaglin regional water supply scheme, northern section, is that the original approved tenderer withdrew his tender. I have recently approved the appointment of another tenderer to carry out the work. It is a matter for the county council to ensure that work on the scheme commences as soon as possible.
