294 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for Health if he will approve a capital allocation for the Eastern Health Board for the provision of a purpose built health centre to serve the west Tallaght area, Dublin 24 which is urgently requested by residents and community organisations in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I am aware that a new health centre is needed to serve the west Tallaght area and the Eastern Health Board have already acquired a site for this purpose at Fortunestown. The Fortunestown project is high on the health board's priority list. However, having regard to the limited capital funds available, I am not in a position at present to say when work on the Fortunestown health centre is likely to commence. I will keep the situation under review.
