55 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide additional finance to Waterford County Council for the provision of a marine outfall for the Ballinroad sewerage scheme in the interests of public health and the environment.

Proposals for the inclusion of a package treatment plant in the Ballinroad sewerage scheme have recently been received in my Department. Approval of the funding of this additional element must await completion of the technical examination of the proposals.
