Ceist:55 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a decision will be given on a milk quota lease for a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and the reason it has taken so long to arrive at a decision.

As the documentation received in this case did not comply with the legal requirements for a quota transfer, my Department have rejected the transfer application. This decision has been notified to the co-operative of the person named. The time required to deal with this case was due to difficulties with the documentation and I am satisfied that there was no undue delay.
