Ceist:35 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Finance the capital value in and taxable value of, taxable capital gains for each of the years from 1985 to 1990.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that statistics are not available which would enable the information requested by the Deputy to be given. Such information could not be obtained without undertaking an individual examination of all capital gains tax returns for the years in question which could be carried out only at a disproportionate cost.
