Ceist:13 Mr. Deasy asked the Taoiseach the progress, if any, which has been made in the provision of leisure facilities for members and staff in Leinster House.
Vol. 404 No. 1
13 Mr. Deasy asked the Taoiseach the progress, if any, which has been made in the provision of leisure facilities for members and staff in Leinster House.
The Deputy will recall that the question of a gymnasium was raised in the House earlier this year. As I said at that time, I am in favour of providing these facilities and I have asked that the matter be examined by the Commissioners of Public Works with a view to having it provided in conjunction with the refurbishment of the Government Buildings complex.
The Office of Public Works are preparing plans and costings which will be considered when they become available.
