Ceist:61 Mr. T. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Finance the number of disabled persons who have qualified for a VAT refund on cars purchased during the year 1989.

In the year 1989, 600 claims for refund of VAT on vehicles for disabled persons were repaid. Of this figure 580 claims related to vehicles for use by disabled drivers and 20 related to vehicles for use for transporting disabled persons. It is not possible to state how many of the vehicles concerned were purchased in 1989.
