87 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Energy if the Government have considered further the position of the Arigna Power Station, County Roscommon; the plans they have to keep the station operating; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I outlined the position in relation to the closure of the Arigna Power Station during Private Members' business in the Dáil on 3 July 1990. I also referred to it in my press release of 13 August 1990 on receipt of the Arigna Task Force report.
There has been no change in the situation since then.
