Ceist:57 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if his attention has been drawn to the fact that an application for financial support has been made by a Northern Ireland based group (details supplied) who are seeking continued financial contributions from his Department, through the Anglo-Irish Secretariat; if, in view of the constructive North-South work of this group, he intends to inform them of the renewal of financial assistance; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I will shortly be considering applications from a number of organisations — including Children's Community Holidays — for assistance from my Department's budget for North-South and Anglo-Irish co-operation. I am happy to say that it has been possible to make a contribution during each of the past three years to the very worthwhile activities of this organisation.
