Ceist:

76 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Defence the amount of money the State is owed by the United Nations in respect of the last five years; the various and specific United Nations missions within which Irish Army personnel have participated; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The amount due by the United Nations in respect of participation in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the United Nations Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) in respect of the past five years is £16.5 million. The amount paid in this period was £24.98 million and so far this year £1.5 million has been received.

Irish military personnel have participated in the following United Nations missions:
