Ceist:59 Mr. Wyse asked the Minister for Health the reason the Southern Health Board's financial allocation is paid to the board on a weekly basis, thus giving rise to serious cash flow problems.

The cash management system is operated by my Department on a weekly basis to ensure strict control of cash and expenditure by both the Department and the agencies. The system does not contribute to any cash difficulties which may arise.
