Vol. 406 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Offaly School.

Tom Enright

Ceist:

243 Mr. Enright asked the Minister for Education the present position on the application for additional classrooms for a school (details supplied) in County Offaly; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the current pre-fab being used for remedial and special classes is unfit for human habitation; if she will sanction the provision of additional accommodation at this school as a matter of urgency; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I have already approved the provision of an extension to the national school in County Offaly referred to by the Deputy. My architectural staff have been instructed to complete the sketch plans at the earliest possible date and when they are ready copies will be forwarded to the school authorities to enable them to seek local authority planning permission.
