Ceist:98 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Finance the amount of VAT rebate due to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and when this rebate will issue.
I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that no refund is being made in this case in respect of VAT claims for the taxable periods May-June 1989, July-August 1989, January-February and July-August 1990. The Commissioners are in consultation with the taxpayer with a view to arranging to offset these claims against declared liability for pay related social insurance which exceeds the total amount claimed.
