Ceist:123 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the issue of a herd number to a person (details supplied) in County Laois; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the director of ERAD that the person named has applied for a herd number on two occasions but did not satisfy the necessary conditions. The person named has been advised by ERAD that he may apply again in the event of a change in circumstances on the holding.
