297 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Education if it is proposed to increase the level of school bus fares; if so, the amount; and when the new charges will come into effect.
The small increases in school transport charges — already announced — which are in line with inflation, will apply with effect from September 1991. As the Deputy will be aware this is the first increase in school transport charges since 1987.
