304 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if she will outline (1) the youth organisations funded by her Department, (2) the source(s) of the funding, (3) the amount allocated in each case, (4) the amount allocated for disadvantaged youth and (5) the purpose for which the money was allocated in each instance.
The information in the format requested by the Deputy on youth organisations and special programmes for disadvantaged youth funded by my Department would involve an inordinate amount of time. However, I would refer the Deputy to: (1) the Annual Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General and Appropriation Accounts for 1989 which gives details of the latest available audited accounts of expenditure in respect of youth services and (2) the beneficiary compendium compiled by the national lottery which gives details of the allocations and amounts paid in respect of youth organisations and of individual projects for disadvantaged youth for the period 1 January 1987 to 31 December 1989.
