Ceist:309 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education if she has received a submission from the manager of Churchfield national school, Cork, regarding the appointment of special teachers in the school.
Written Answers. - Churchfield (Cork) School.
The management of Churchfield national school have requested that the school be included in the home/ school/community liaison project for schools in disadvantaged areas and that an additional teacher be assigned to the school for this purpose. This application is being considered at present in the light of my decision to increase the number of schools participating in the scheme.
I should mention that this school already receives grants under the scheme for disadvantaged areas and has been granted an additional teaching post for this purpose.
