Ceist:88 Mr. Byrne asked the Taoiseach if he will outline in respect of persons who signed on to the live register of unemployed in each of the past 12 months, the number who were returned emigrants.

While no specific figures are available for those on the live register who are returned emigrants, a sampling of new claimants to the live register by local employment offices over the last number of months clearly indicates that returned emigrants have been a significant factor in the recent live register increases.
