A weekend closure operates between 6 a.m. on Saturday and 6 a.m. on the following Monday of every week during the fishing season.
In relation to the extension of the fishing season in this area I will be considering this matter later this year in the light of all relevant information and scientific advice. I would stress however, that it is not the policy to give such extensions save in exceptional circumstances where it is beyond doubt that the level of stocks and the level of escapement necessary to sustain an adequate level of stock, would not be jeopardised.
