77 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Justice the crime figures for the following towns in County Westmeath for the years 1985 to 1990 (a) Athlone, (b) Mullingar, (c) Moate, (d) Kilbeggan, (e) Kinnegad and (f) Castlepollard; and if he will give the total crime figures for the county.
Crime statistics are recorded on the basis of Garda sub-districts rather than towns or counties. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the number of indictable crimes recorded in the sub-districts of Athlone, Mullingar, Moate, Kilbeggan, Kinnegad and Castlepollard for the years 1985 to 1990 are as set out in the tabular statement below.
