Vol. 407 No. 5

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Maintenance Allowance.

John O'Leary

Ceist:

57 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Health the reason for the long delay on the part of the Southern Health Board in granting disabled person's maintenance allowance to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry who applied over three months ago and who suffers from a severe form of arthritis; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Southern Health Board, with a request that he reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
