142 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 was refused a special allowance for the care of their daughter who has cerebral palsy; and if this decision will be reviewed.
Applications for domiciliary care allowance are a matter for the relevant health board. In this case the decision by the Eastern Health Board not to grant the allowance has been appealed and the appeal is currently under investigation. I have asked the board to inform the Deputy of the outcome of this appeal.
