193 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Education if she has received a document entitled Community Response which is a report of a seminar on drug problems in the south inner city held in Kevin Street College of Technology on 3 November 1990; if in respect of the document's recommendations she will outline the action, if any, she proposes to take; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I understand that the document referred to has been forwarded to the National Co-Ordinating Committee on Drug Abuse which has recently presented their report outlining their recommendations for a national strategy to combat drug abuse. As part of the national strategy to prevent drug misuse, which will be published shortly by the Minister for Health, the Department of Education will be undertaking a number of initiatives.
