Ceist:194 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice the manpower level of the Garda Síochána which are allocated to Border duties; and the cost implications of this deployment.
Written Answers. - Garda Allocation to Border Areas.
It is established practice in the public interest not to disclose details of the numbers of gardaí assigned to Border duties. The costs associated with such duties are not separately compiled and the allocation of scarce Garda and departmental resources to the task of compiling them would not be warranted.
