46 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if she will outline (a) the number of private primary schools together with their total enrolment for each of the past five years, (b) whether her Department communicates with these schools on matters other than enrolment and (c) whether there is supervision on teaching and learning standards in such schools; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The information available to my Department in respect of private primary schools is limited to those schools which have made statistical returns on their enrolment figures to my Department.
