Vol. 411 No. 7

Written Answers. - Land Commission Acquisition.

Michael Bell

Ceist:

113 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food whether the relatives of a person (details supplied) in County Louth, whose land was acquired by acquisition by the Land Commission in 1969 are now due payment in full of the land bonds plus interest; if so, when payment will be made and if he will outline the total amount now due; if he will further outline the value of the bonds when issued in 1969 and their current value plus interest accrued; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The purchase money in this case cannot be distributed until the requirements for showing title have been complied with by the representatives.

The total amount now standing to credit in this matter is £12,747, which will be allocated in cash in due course. This sum includes the purchase price which had originally been fixed at £5,170 payable in 9.75 per cent land bonds plus all interest and dividends due to date.
