Written Answers. - Townspark (County Waterford) Water Scheme.

164 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in sanctioning the Townspark west group water scheme in County Waterford in view of the fact that the application was submitted on 1 May 1991; and when the scheme will be approved.

This scheme was approved by Waterford County Council subject to the condition that the scheme's main should be upsized to cater for the long term water needs of the area. The financial implications of this requirement are being examined by the Department.
