174 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Social Welfare the amount of money paid in rent supplements under the Supplementary Welfare Allowance Scheme by the Southern Health Board in (1) 1987 (2) 1988 (3) 1989 (4) 1990 and (5) to 1 October, 1991.
Statistics are not maintained by the health boards in such a way as to provide the information requested by the Deputy.
Discussions are taking place with the boards on the question of providing more detailed statistical analyses of the scheme, including more detailed information on rent supplementation.
