Ceist:181 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a person (details supplied) in Cork will get a decision on his application for a grant under the national fuel scheme.

The person concerned has been awarded a free fuel allowance of £5 per week with effect from 17 October 1991 — the start of the 1991-92 heating season. He has also been awarded a living alone allowance of £4.30 per week from 5 September 1991.
Arrears of free fuel and living alone allowance covering the period up to 28 November 1991 (total £90.90) will issue shortly.
A revised pension book effective from 5 December 1991 which includes these allowances will be available for collection at his local post office at the end of this week.
