Ceist:

249 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education if he will sanction a grant towards general maintenance and in particular to have urgent works carried out to the roof of a school (details supplied) in County Carlow where a report by their architect has been submitted as requested by his Department.

The grant aiding of roof repairs at the school in question is under consideration but is dependent on the availability of capital resources and on my Department's other commitments. I am not in a position to say when funds will be available to provide grant assistance for the work proposed.
