114 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education the number of young people who are currently resident in Trinity House, Lusk, County Dublin; and the annual cost per head.

* Until 30 September 1991, the centre functioned as an assessment unit only, for up to seven girls. Since then, it has been augmented to provide for long stay girls also. The cost per annum relates to its operation as an assessment centre.
The current annual running cost of St. Joseph's special school is £1.494 million.

115 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education the number of times during 1990 and up to November, 1991, there were vacancies in Trinity House, Lusk, County Dublin.

Trinity House school, Lusk, County Dublin has been filled to capacity for all of 1990 and up to November 1991. In most cases the admission of a new boy to the centre would coincide with the discharge of another.
