Ceist:25 Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Defence if, in respect of paid duty for the reserve, he will outline (a) the number of man days allocated for annual training, (b) the number of days allocated for promotion courses and the number of which refer to seven and 14 day periods, (c) the number of days allocated for special courses, weapons or NCO, and the nature of such courses for each year 1987 to 1990 inclusive, and to 31 August 1991; the take up of paid man days for each of the above three categories; the number of days allocated and taken up by command, for security and fire picket duty for each year from 1987 to 1990 and to 30 September 1991; the total amount paid in respect of such duties for each year, the rationale for such duties; when the allocation of paid duty days will be announced for 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
