Ceist:

76 Mr. Lowry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the current position regarding an application for a grant in respect of reactor animals by a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; the amount of such a grant; and when payment will be made.

I am informed by the director of ERAD that reactor grants amounting to £4,110, due to the person named will be processed for payment as soon as he forwards his tax reference number to the local district veterinary office.

Ceist:

78 Mr. Lowry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the current position regarding an application for beef subsidy by a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; the amount of subsidy involved; and when payment will be made.

This person applied for grants on 25 animals under the 1991 special beef premium scheme but to date has only forwarded one cattle identity card to my Department for inspection.

His application will be processed further when he submits the identity cards for the remaining animals and, if found in order, payment of £878.75 will issue to him when payments under the scheme commence shortly.
