Vol. 414 No. 1

Written Answers. - Parking of Trailers.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

91 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if, arising out of his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 128 on 26 November 1991, the trailer referred to was transferred to the junction of the North Circular Road/Portland Street North with the knowledge of the Garda; and if there is a history of complaints from the local residents association to Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station about the trailers referred to.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the trailer in question is at present in a compound at Rutland Street. It was apparently moved temporarily to the location referred to by the Deputy while the owner arranged space at the compound.

I can assure the Deputy that the Garda closely monitor the parking of trailers in the area and any infringements detected are dealt with in the normal course.

On 26 November, I outlined the position regarding complaints by residents, when replying to a Dáil question by the Deputy on this subject.
