128 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the difficulties, if any, surrounding the application for naturalisation of citizenship of a person (details supplied); when this person's application was first received; when a decision will be taken in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Justice (Mr. Burke)

An application for a certificate of naturalisation in respect of the person in question was received in my Department in April 1991. The application is being considered and I would expect that a decision on this application could be expected within about a month.
