124 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline of the estimated numbers employed in general work, on the outdoor staff, of all local authorities in the country in each of the years (1) 1950, (2) 1960, (3) 1970, (4) 1980, (5) 1990 and (6) 1991.
The information requested is not available in my Department for the years 1950, 1960 and 1970. With regard to 1980 and 1990, I refer to the reply to Question No. 149 of 5 February 1992. Complete information in respect of 1991 is not yet available.
125 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the estimated numbers employed in engineering and technical capacities by all local authorities in the country in each of the years (1) 1950, (2) 1960, (3) 1970, (4) 1980, (5) 1990 and (6) 1991.
The information requested is not available in my Department for the years 1950, 1960 or 1970. The number employed in the relevant categories for the years 1980 and 1990 is being compiled in so far as it is available from returns furnished by local authorities to my Department and will be sent to the Deputy as soon as possible. Complete information in respect of 1991 is not yet available.
