Ceist:132 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a beef subsidy grant has been refused to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
This person is ineligible for payment of grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme because he listed two animals on his application on which premium had been claimed already. Furthermore he must be debarred from the special beef premium scheme for 12 months from the date the irregularity occurred.
Ned O'Keeffe
Ceist:133 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
This applicant has been paid his 1991 special beef premium grant and the first and second instalment of the 1991 EC ewe premium scheme already. The third instalment of the 1991 ewe premium scheme will be paid in April when the exact amount of that instalment has been fixed by the EC Commission.
He did not apply under any other 1991 cattle or sheep schemes.

This applicant has already been paid his grant under the 1990 suckler cow premium scheme for small scale milk producers.
