Vol. 417 No. 5

Written Answers. - Treatment Delay.

Gerry O'Sullivan

Ceist:

267 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is a discrepancy in the waiting period for physiotherapy treatment, between the Regional Hospital, Cork and the Orthopaedic Hospital, Cork for public patients, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The provision and organisation of physiotherapy services at Cork Regional Hospital and St. Mary's Orthopaedic Hospital, Cork is a matter for the Southern Health Board in the first instance. I understand that the board are examining the physiotherapy services at these hospitals at present. I will communicate further with the Deputy when the outcome of this examination is available.
