Vol. 417 No. 6

Written Answers. - Headlights Adjustment Publicity Campaign.

John Browne

Ceist:

53 Mr. Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the advances which have been made in suggesting to the National Safety Council to have a special publicity campaign to highlight the importance of properly adjusted headlamps, as promised in a reply to Parliamentary Question No. 26 of 23 October 1991.

As indicated in the reply to Question No. 26 of 23 October 1991, the suggestion that a special publicity campaign be launched relating to properly adjusted headlights, has been brought to the attention of the National Safety Council. It is a matter for the council to decide, in the context of their overall programme, whether and when such a campaign should be pursued.
