70 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the present position regarding the Rosmuc water scheme in Connemara, County Galway; when this scheme will be sanctioned; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department is still awaiting the submission of a certificate from Galway County Council confirming that the necessary preliminary arrangements for the planning of this scheme have been finalised. When this certificate is received, the proposal will be considered further.
