Ceist:

184 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food whether a person (details supplied) in County Kildare qualifies for a farm installation grant of milk quota in respect of his lands in County Waterford, which is in a disadvantaged area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Eligibility for installation aid can only be determined on the basis of an application to the local Teagasc Office. No such application appears to have been made in this case.

There is no scheme in operation at the present time for the provision of milk quotas to any producer who was not involved in milk production in the 1983 superlevy reference year and thereby did not establish a basic milk quota entitlement.
