268 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment when his Department will respond to the request from Galway County Council for the provision of a roundabout on the Gort/Galway Road at the junction for Oranmore on the Gort side of Oranmore, where the new bypass road passes Oranmore; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Proposals for the provision of a roundabout at this junction were submitted to my Department on 26 February, 1992 and are under examination. A decision will issue as soon as possible.
